Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips Review

When I was at the Forrest Wood Cup this summer, I ran across a product that I didn’t even know existed. It may not be the sexiest product on the market, but it’s one of those things that I wish I would have invented. It’s an excellent solution to a very common problem; especially for co-anglers and bank anglers, in my opinion.

The Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips are a great idea and I’ve been using them for my pond-fishing endeavors ever since I discovered them. I’ll explain their purpose, application and my experiences with them thus far.

Eliminates tangles

Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips Review

We’ve all been there at some point: You hook your lures to your reel, bunch up your rods and stack ’em in your front seat, truck bed or your buddy’s boat. When it’s time to unload everything and go fishing, your lures are hooked on everything. You’ll have hooks wrapped around other hooks, stuck in your Rod Gloves or even worse, the upholstery of your vehicle. Admittedly, I have a few tears in the front passenger seat of my truck from this very problem.

Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips solve this problem. When transporting your rods, you simply cut your lure off, slide the line through the line clip and reel it to the top of your rod. This allows you to stack nearly all of your rods into a tight space without any tangling.

Saves your fishing line

Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips Review

Imagine it’s the dead of winter and you’re not going to be using your topwater rods for a few months. Instead of clipping your lures to your reels and stuffing them in the corner of your garage, you can use these Line Clips instead.

Here’s why I say that: If you leave your lures clipped to the reel for a while, it creates a crimp in your line where the line leaves the rod tip. This creates a weak spot that requires retying. Sure, retying a lure doesn’t take too long, but now you’re not wasting six feet of crimped, unusable line every time you re-rig your rods.

Won’t damage your rod tips

The ball on these Line Clips isn’t made from hard plastic. I’m actually not quite sure what it’s made of, but it closely resembles some type of dense foam. You won’t have to worry about any damage on your rod tips while using this product. You can reel it straight to the tip without any issues.

Also works for spare casting reels

Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips Review

I have a lot of spare casting reels laying around; I’ll do a lot of mixing and matching throughout the year when certain bites heat up. Normally, I would just unscrew the reel from the reel seat, cut my lure off and reel the excess line on the reel. When it comes time to put that reel back to use, I have to monkey around trying to thread the line back through the reel’s line guide.

It may not be a big deal to some, but I keep some of these spare reels in my boat and change them while I’m in the middle of a tournament. These Line Clips help me save a step when it’s time to make a spur-of-the-moment change. I can keep the line threaded through the line guide and attach a Line Clip to the end, which keeps my reels ready to use at a moment’s notice.

Rapid Fishing Solutions Line Clips Review

As I mentioned earlier, this product may not jump off the shelf at you; but it’s a darn good idea that makes a lot of sense for those wanting to be a bit more organized. I had never heard of them before I found them at the Forrest Wood Cup expo, but I’m glad I discovered them. I have a deep appreciation for simple products that solve problems for anglers.
